Suicide Prevention Awareness

Suicide is Preventable

Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Twice in my life I contemplated suicide---I thought it was the only way to stop my hurting. Thankfully, I found someone who would listen; and now, I am ready to help someone else. I am a proud supporter and participant of the safeTALK training program.

safeTALK is a half-day training in suicide alertness. It helps participants recognize a person with thoughts of suicide and connect them with resources who can help them in choosing to live. Participants don’t need any formal preparation to attend the training—anyone age 15 or older who wants to make a difference can learn the safeTALK steps. Join a training session near you today.
